Marcus Bastel is a writer and photographer based in London. He specialises in rural and urban landscapes and architectures.
He studied fine art in Sheffield, UK and at the Rijksakademie van beeldende Kunsten, Amsterdam,NL. His pictures are about spaces and habitats, whereas his stories are about people. There is a certain fascination of the man made, but man made in his case does not always mean a manufactured object. Some images we see of landscapes have a man made quality because the way we know about those is through the media. And media is man made, creating a memory that does not exist.
His work is with Gallery Stock and Millennium Images and he is being represented by Anoukh Foerg Literary Agency.
