27 YEARS LATER The Portrait Sessions (59 seconds)
After working for nearly three decades at Central Saint Martins School of Art in London, I left at the end of July 2025. To leave, was to leave the safety of a community that I had relied on for a long time. In other words, while I have always pursued my own projects and goals, I’ve inevitably become institutionalised. As the date of departure drew closer I wondered what to leave behind and what to take with me. A plan took shape and I decided to invite everyone to come and have their portrait taken. It was one way to give something to everyone and leave with something for myself. In the end I was commissioned to take the portraits and made over a hundred over a two day period.
The Dialogue with Nature, made the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2025 and has since found a new home in a private collection.
Aura (Woman Waiting) was longlisted for the BBA One Shot Award and the Minimalist Photography Awards 2025

Some of my work was shown as part of 125 LIVE Magazines annual show and at the Portrait Salon in October 2015. The Portrait Salon Show travelled on to Tokyo where it was on display in February 2016.

Following my Detroit to LA trip partially made possible with the support of Team Detroit/Ford Motors I have put together a 30 page publication illustrating the journey, the people, the landscape and the Ford Escape/Kuga I was driving.

Five of my images are available as digital editions on Sedition. Take a look if you need something to fill the void your screen is leaving when it’s off.
